Länsi-Pohja’s central hospital is situated along the shores
of Kemi in the center of town. The hospital provides specialized somatic
medical treatment services to the region’s population. Keroputaa
Hospital, in Tornio, is a psychiatric hospital.

With about 70,000 inhabitants, Länsi-Pohja is
Finland’s second smallest healthcare district. Being small is also
an advantage. Over 90 % of the area’s population lives within a
half-hour drive of our hospital. This means that our specialized medical
